Nicias

A celebrated Athenian general, by whose influence peace was concluded with Sparta in B. C. 421.

Nonacris

A town in the north of Arcadia, surrounded by lofty mountains, in which the river Styx took its origin.

Notus

Called Auster by the Romans, the south wind, or strictly the southwest wind, which brought with it fogs and rain.

A country of northern Africa.

A town of the Sabines, situated near the sources of the Nar and amid the Apennines, whence it is called by Vergil frigida
