Parysatis
Daughter of Artaxerxes I. Longimanus, king of Persia, and wife of her own brother Darius Ochus, and mother of Artaxerxes Mnemon and Cyrus. She supported the latter in his rebellion against his brother Artaxerxes, B. C. 401. She afterwards poisoned Statira, the wife of Artaxerxes, and induced the king to put Tissaphernes to death, whom she hated as having been the first to discover the designs of Cyrus to his brother.
Pasiphaë. A daughter of the Sun and of Perseis, who married Minos, king of Crete. She became the mother of the Minotaur, which was killed by Theseus.
Patavium (Padua). An ancient town of the Veneti in the north of Italy. It is celebrated as the birthplace of the historian Livy.
