Rhine
Rhodus (Rhodos or Rhodes). The most easterly island of the Aegaean, or, more specifically, of the Carpathian Sea.
Robigus or Robigo. Described by some Latin writers as a divinity worshipped for the purpose of averting blight or too great heat from the young cornfields.
Roma (Rome). The capital of Italy and of the world, was situated on the left bank of the river Tiber, on the northwest confines of Latium, about sixteen miles from the sea.
Rome is said to have been a colony from Alba Longa, and to have been founded by Romulus about B. C. 753.
