Adams, William Taylor

William Taylor (1822-1897), an American editor and author, better known by his pseudonym of Oliver Optic. He was a teacher for many years in Boston. He wrote many stories of travel and adventure for young people. Young American Abroad, Starry Flag Series, Riverdale Series, and Onward and Upward are among them. He founded and edited Oliver Optic's Magazine.
