Dewberry

a kind of bramble. Three or four wild dewberries are found in the northeastern, the southern, and the western parts respectively, of the United States. Their general nature is that of the blackberry, which see. The dewberry has of late received attention in gardens on account of its ripening in advance of the blackberry.
