Dixon

dik'son, George, an English navigator. He was an officer on the Resolution during Cook's last voyage. Later he was sent out on an independent exploring expedition and discovered the Queen Charlotte Islands. He was the author of A Voyage Round the World, Published in 1789. He died about 1800.
