Drilling
a term applied to several varieties of stout twilled cloth of cotton or linen. It is used for linings, pockets, sacks, waiters' jackets, etc. It is dyed in plain colors, or left white, bleached and unbleached. Corset jean is one variety of drilling used for waist linings, children's underwaists, and in the manufacture of corsets. See Twill
