English, Thomas Dunn

Thomas Dunn (1819-1902), an American poet and novelist. He was born at Philadelphia. He was educated for a physician and afterward for the law. His novels include Walter Woolfe, Jacob Schuyler's Millions, and Ambrose Fecit. He is the author also of American Ballads and Boys' Book of Battle Lyrics. He is best known for the popular song, Ben Bolt.
