Greene, Mrs. Sarah Pratt McLean
Mrs. Sarah Pratt McLean (1856-), an American novelist. She is a native of Connecticut. Her first novel, Cape Cod Folks, brought her a reputation as a storyteller. It brought to her publishers considerable trouble in the way of lawsuits caused by the author's use of names of living people for her characters. Her other writings include Deacon Lysander, Tow Head, the Story of a Girl, Lastchance Junction, and Vesty of the Basins.
