Henry V

king of England. He reigned 1413-22. Shakespeare describes him as a wild, dissolute youth. As a king he was not lacking in manly qualities. He invaded France in 1415 and won the brilliant battle of Agincourt. He married Catharine of France. By the treaty of Troyes, made in 1420, their son to be was agreed upon as the joint king of France and England.
