Huckleberry

a berry-like fruit containing ten seed-like nutlets. There are several species of huckleberry shrubs bearing fruit very similar to the blueberry. The common huckleberry of the markets is black and without bloom. It grows on much branching shrubs from one to three feet high, found in low places and swamps from Newfoundland to Minnesota, and south along the mountains to Georgia.
