Hyssop

his'sup, a term of uncertain application. The garden hyssop is a bushy herb of the mint family. The scriptural hyssop, "that springeth out of the wall," and that was used in sprinkling the people for their purification, may or may not have been a similar plant. It is thought by some scholars to have been the caper-bush.
