Jarley

Mrs., in Old Curiosity Shop by Charles Dickens, the owner and exhibitor of "Jarley's Wax Works." She was "a Christian lady, stout and comfortable to look upon, who wore a large bonnet trembling with bows." She traveled through the country in a tidy little caravan displaying her wax works-"the all man, the short man, the old lady who died of dancing at a hundred and thirty-two, the wild boy of the woods, the woman who poisoned fourteen families with pickled walnuts, and other historical characters and interesting but misguided individuals."
