Mackintosh

a long, loose waterproof garment worn by both men and women. It takes its name from Charles Mackintosh, the English inventor of the cloth. Mackintosh cloth is prepared by spreading several layers of India rubber paste on the surface of a cotton or worsted fabric. Sometimes the coated surfaces of two fabrics are united by pressure, forming a double-faced cloth.
