Polyphemus

pol-i-fe'mus, in Greek legend, one of the Cyclops, a race of one-eyed giants. Ulysses' adventure with Polyphemus is told in the Odyssey. Polyphemus is also described in Virgil's Aeneid. See Ulysses; Cyclops
