Rice, Mrs. Alice Hegan

Mrs. Alice Hegan (1870-), an American writer. She is a native of Kentucky and was educated at Louisville. Her first book, Mrs. Wiggs of the Cabbage Patch, was published in 1901. It was a striking success and has been widely read and quoted. A sequel, published two years later, is entitled Lovey Mary.
