Serge

a worsted fabric of twill weave made in a variety of weights and degrees of fineness. Serge is used for both men's and women's suits. It is light, durable, sheds dust, and is cleansed readily. It is usually wiry, but certain fine varieties are soft and pliable. Serge has been in use since the twelfth century and is still one of the most popular of standard fabrics.
