Trossachs

a romantic valley in western Perthshire, Scotland, through which the waters of Loch Katrine make their way to Loch Achray. The word means the throat or mouth of the valley. The glen owes its celebrity to Scott's descriptive power in The Lady of the Lake. The glen is pretty enough, but is hardly up to Scott's picture.
