Ulster

the most northerly province of Ireland. It comprises nine counties, including Antrim and Londonderry. Half of the population is Catholic. The other half is divided nearly evenly between Presbyterians and Episcopalians. The province became noted for the manufacture of frieze, a strong woolen cloth from which ulster overcoats are made.
