Yarrow

a celebrated stream of Selkirkshire, Scotland. It forms two beautiful lakes known as the Loch of the Lowes and St. Mary's Loch. It has a course of sixteen miles through Ettrick Forest, emptying into the Ettrick, near Selkirk. The braes of Yarrow are celebrated in literature. Sir Walter Scott was descended from Auld Watt and "his fair dame, the flower of Yarrow." Wordsworth made this stream the theme of three poems: Yarrow Unvisited, Yarrow Visited, and Yarrow Revisited.
