English Silver Soap

This mixture, which is used for polishing silverware, is prepared as follows: Dissolve 2 parts of castile soap in 2 parts of soft water over a fire; when melted remove and stir in 6 parts of fine whiting, pour into moulds and allow it to cool. A little rouge may be added as coloring matter if desirable.
