Ferarius
This alchemist is supposed to have been an Italian priest of the thirteenth century, but nothing is known concerning his career. Various chymical writings ascribed to him are embodied in that curious collection, the Theatrum Chimicum, prominent among them being De Lapide Philosophorum and Thesaurus Philosophia and in the former the author observes, rather tritely, that in alchemy the first thing to be ascertained is what is really signified by the myrionimous argentum vivum sapientium. But he does not volunteer any information in this particular, and his works in general are obscure, and of but little interest. Ferdinand D. Schertz: (See Magia Posthuma.)
