Hambaruan
Among the Dayaks of Borneo the hambaruan, or soul of a living man, may leave the body at will, and go where it chooses; it is, however, liable to capture by evil spirits. If this should happen, the man falls ill, and, if his soul is not speedily liberated, dies.
