Agonic Lines
imaginary lines on the surface of the earth on which the of the magnetic needle is zero, i. e. at any point of which the magnetic needle points to the true north or south. There are two such lines, the principal one encircling the earth through the poles, passing through North and South A Australia, western Asia and Europe, and America, ca, the Antarctic Ocean, eastern Asia. In America, east of the a smaller one included almost wholly in of true north; west of the line, it points agonic line the needle always points west east of true north.
