American Law Institute

an association of American jurists and lawyers organized February, 1923, to promote the clarification and simplification of the law, to secure the better administration of justice, and to carry on scientific legal work with a view to removing the uncertainties and complexities which at present cause useless litigation, prevent resort to the courts to enforce just rights, make it impossible for the legal profession to give accurate advice in many cases, and create delays and needless expense.

AMERICAN LEGION. (See UNITED STATES, 1922-23).
