Banff

a health resort in southwestern Alberta, Canada. It is on the Canadian Pacific railroad and the Bow river. The village, which has a population of about 1,000, has its situation in the magnificent scenery of the Canadian Rockies. There are several fine hotels, sulphur springs, open-air baths, and a sanitarium. It is included in the Rocky Mountain National Park of Canada, which has an area of over 5,000 square miles.
