Bourne (RANDOLPH SILLIMAN American)

RANDOLPH SILLIMAN, American author; born in Bloomfield, N. J., in 1886. He studied at Columbia University, from which he graduated in 1913. He pursued studies in London and Paris, 1913-1914, and on his return to the United States became a member of the editorial staff of "New Republic" and the "Dial," besides contributing to other magazines. He was an exponent of the BOUTWELL radical school of thought and an able and forceful writer. Among his publications were "Youth and Life" (1913); "The Gary Schools" (1916); and "Education and Living" (1917). He died in 1918.
