Brooks (NOAH an American journalist)
NOAH, an American journalist and author, born in Castine, Me., Oct. 30, 1830. He was connected with newspapers in Massachusetts, California, Washington, and New York. He wrote many popular books for boys, among which are: "The Fairport Nine" (1880); "Our Baseball Club" (1884); "How the Republic is Governed." He edited and enlarged Bryant and Gay's "History of the United States." He died in Pasadena, Cal., Aug. 16, 1903.
