Carducci
GIOSUE (kär-dö'chi), an Italian poet and philologist, born in Valdicastello, Tuscany, July 27, 1836. professor of Italian lit- He was made pr erature in the University of Bologna in 1860. He had previously written on the history of literature; and a small volume of lyrics, "Rimes" (1857).
