Daudet (ERNEST a French novelist)

ERNEST, a French novelist; brother of Alphonse Daudet; born in Nîmes, May 31, 1837. His most notable novels are: "The Venus of Gordes"; "The Bloom of Sin"; "Martha." He is author of an autobiographical sketch, "My Brother and Myself" (1882); and DAUDET has writen some historical sketches, as a " History of the Royalist Conspiracies in the South During the Revolution"; " History of the Emigration." "The Tragedies and Comedies of History" (1912).
