Davis (REBECCA HARDING an American)

REBECCA HARDING, an American novelist; born in Washington, Pa., June 24, 1831. She contributed many short stories and sketches to periodicals, and has written several novels, including: "Life in the Iron Mills" (1861); "A Story of Today" (1861), published later under the title "Margaret Howth"; and "A Law Unto Herself" (1878). (1878). Her later works include: "Waiting for the Verdict"; "Dallas Galbraith"; "Natasqua," and "Frances Waldeaux." She died Sept. 29, 1910.
