Doremus
ROBERT OGDEN, an American chemist; born in New York City, Jan. 11, 1824. He was graduated at New York University in 1842, and from its medical department nt in 1850, having established his chemical laboratory in New York in 1848. He has filled the chair of chemistry at Bellevue Hospital Medical College and at the College of the City of New York. He patented noted chemical processes and fire extinguishers and was a noted expert in toxicology.
He died March 22, 1906.
