Dow (ARTHUR WESLEY an Amerwas)
ARTHUR WESLEY, an Amerwas educated in Boston and Paris. He exhibited in the Paris Salon in 1886- 1887. He was for some time curator of Japanese art in the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, and from 1895 to 1904 he was instructor in art at the Pratt Institute, Brooklyn, and instructor in composition at the Art Students' League from 1897 to 1903. From 1904 he was professor of fine arts in the Teachers' College, Columbia University. He wrote "Compositions" (1898), and published several books of color prints of especially high merit.
