Flensborg

one of the most populous towns of Slesvig, at the extremity of the Flensborg Fjord, an inlet from the Baltic, forty miles N. W. of Kiel. It was taken from the Danes by the Germans in 1866. Pop. about 60,000.

Fleury

a small village in France, about six miles N. W. of Verdun, at which were located some of the outer works defending Verdun during the World War. It was the center of some of the heaviest fighting during the attack on Verdun by the Germans, in June, 1916, known as the battle of Mort Homme.

a city and county-seat of Lauderdale co., Ala.; on the Tennessee river, and on the Southern and the Louisville and Nashville railroads.
