Heyburn

WELDON BRINTON, United States Senator from Idaho, born in Delaware co., Pa., in 1852. He received an academic education and was admitted to the bar in 1876. After practicing law in Pennsylvania he moved to Idaho and soon after entered politics.

He was defeated for Congress in 1898 but in 1903 was elected to the Senate.

He was re-elected in 1909. During his service he was chairman of the committee on manufactures and of the joint committee on the revision of the laws of the United States. He died in 1912. a
