Howard (ERONSON an American playwright)

ERONSON, an American playwright; born in Detroit, Mich., Oct. 7, 1842. He was connected with several newspapers in New York City, 1867- 1872. Among his successful plays are: "Saratoga" (1870); "The Banker's Daughter" (1878); "Young Mrs. Winthrop" (1882); "The Henrietta" and "Met by Chance" (1887); "Shenandoah" (1889); "Aristocracy" (1892); "Peter Stuyvesant" (with Brander Matthews); etc. He died Aug. 4, 1908.
