EDGAR WATSON, an Ameri- Ind., in 1854. He was educated in the common schools of Missouri, and at the age of twelve entered a printing office.

He was publisher and owner of several papers and at last became proprietor of the "Atchison Daily Globe," which he made one of the most widely quoted papers in the United States. He. continued in this capacity until 1911, when he became editor and publisher of "E.

W. Howe's Monthly." He was the author of "The Story of a Country Town"; John Whitlock"; "Daily Notes of a Trip "A Moonlight Boy"; "The Confession of Around the World"; "Country Town "; and "The Blessing of Business." tor;
