OWEN (MCMAHON), an American author, born in New York in 1878, the son of Robert Underwood John- He graduated from Yale University in 1900. His first work "Arrows of the Almighty" was published in 1901 and this was followed in rapid succession by others, including "The Eternal Boy" (1909); "The Humming Bird" (1910); "The Varmint" (1910); "The Salamander" (1913); "The Spirit of France," (1915); "Virtuous Wives" (1917).
