Joseffy

RAFAEL, a Hungarian composer and pianist. Born in Hungary in 1852, he was educated at the conservatories in Leipzig and Berlin. About 1880 he came to America where he was first recognized as a great teacher of music. Later he toured Europe and finally made his home in Vienna. He has written an excellent text on musical instruction entitled "School of Advanced Piano Playing," (1892).
