Kakodyl
or CACODYL, in chemistry, an organo-metallic base, containing arsenic. It is prepared from its chloride by the action of zinc. It is a thin, transparent, colorless liquid, resembling arsenietted hydrogen in smell. It is very inflammable, and when poured into oxygen, chlorine, or the air, it inflames.
KALA (kälä), in Hindu mythology, of the dead; hence, sometimes death ittimes used for Time. (See KALEE.) Also one of the names of Yama, regent of the dead; hence, sometimes death itself.
