an institution founded in 1809 at Oxford, O. Coeducational. In 1918 the students numbered 765 and the faculty 55. The State of Ohio granted land to the University at its start and has since granted appropriations. The present endowment is $104,000 and the income about $300,- 000. The grounds and buildings are valued at over a million dollars. The library contains 49,000 volumes.
