HENRY LOOMIS, Ameri- 1846; 1846; died in New York City, 1908. He graduated from Williams College, was admitted to the bar, but soon turned to newspaper work as a means of earning his livelihood. Was Washington corfor the Boston "Post" from 1875 to 1885; then editor for a year.
