EUGENE ALLEN, American educator; born in Brooklyn, N. Y., 1865; graduated from Wesleyan University, NODES 1891; studied theology in Garrett Biblical Institute, in Illinois; ordained Methodist Episcopal minister, in Bridgeport, Conn., where he remained till 1895; head master of Centenary Collegiate Institute, Hackettstown, N. J., from 1902 to 1908; president Goucher College, Baltimore, Md., from 1908 to 1911; president Dickinson College, Pa., from 1911.

Has contributed to many magazines on educational subjects. rsects
