O'Gorman (JAMES ALOYSIUS born in New)

JAMES ALOYSIUS, born in New York City, 1860; educated in the College of the City of New York and was admitted to the bar in 1882. the District Court of New York, then From 1893 to 1900 he was a justice of the Supreme Court of New York. In 1911 he was elected to the United States Senate, whereupon he resigned from the bench. His term ending in 1917, he resumed law practice. In 1912 he was a delegate to the National Democratic Convention.
