FRANCIS LANDEY, an American educator; born in Warwick Parish, Bermuda, Jan. 22, 1843. Educated at Knox College, University of Toronto, and graduated at Princeton Theological Seminary in 1865. In 1865-1871 he was pastor of several churches; was then chosen McCormick Professor in the Theological Seminary of the Northwest; and in 1881 Professor of Relations of Philosophy and Science to the Christian Religion in Princeton University, the chair having been especially created for PAU him.
