Pearson (KARL an English physicist He)

KARL, an English physicist. He was born in 1857 and studied at Cambridge, Heidelberg, and Berlin, being admitted to the bar in 1882. He taught mathematics in University College, London, and became Galton professor of eugenics in London University. His works include: "History of the Theory of Elasticity and Strength of Materials"; "Ethic of Freethought"; "Grammar of Science"; "The Chances of Death"; "National Life from the Standpoint of Science"; "The Life, Letters and Labors of Francis Galton."
