Replevin
a personal action whick lies to recover possession of goods or chattels wrongfully taken or detained, upon giving security to try the right to them in a court of law, and to return them if the suit be determined against the plaintiff. Originally a remedy peculiar to cases of wrongful distress, it is now applicable to all cases of wrongful taking or detention. Also the writ by which goods and chattels are replevined.
