Stoddard (ELIZABETH DREW BARSTOW)

ELIZABETH DREW (BARSTOW), an American novelist and poet; born in Mattapoisett, Mass., May 6, 1823. She was the wife of Richard H. Stoddard, and the author of three distinguished novels, "The Morgesons" (1862); "Two Men" (1865); "Temple House," illustrative of English character and scenery (1867); and "Lolly Dink's Doings," a story for young readers (1874); "Poems." She died Aug. 1, 1902.
