Teixeira De Mattos

ALEXAN- DER LOUIS, a British writer, born at Amsterdam, Holland, in 1865. He was brought to England when nine years old and later acted as London correspondent for Dutch papers. He was editor of "Dramatic Opinions" in 1891, and editor of "Candid Friend" in 1901-1902. He has translated the works of several well known European writers from Dutch, Danish, French, German, and Flemish, among them Carl Ewald, Maurice Mæterlinck, J. H. C. Fabre, and Maurice Leblanc.
