Terry (MILTON SPENSER an American)

MILTON SPENSER, an American educator; born in Coeymans, N. Y., Feb. 22, 1840; was graduated at Troy University and the Yale Divinity School; held pastorates in various Methodist Episcopal churches in New York city in 1863-1884; and in 1885 was made Professor of Christian Doctrines in the Garret Biblical Institute, Northwestern University. He was the author of "Commentary on the Old Testament," "Biblical Hermeneutics," "The Sibylline Oracles," "Rambles in the Old World," "Biblical Apocalyptics," etc.
